Abstract: I review trends in migration to the UK since Brexit referendum, examining first sharp fall net from EU that resulted, and then recent more dramatic exodus of foreign-born residents during covid-19 pandemic. describe new post-Brexit system, studies which attempt estimate both impact on future flows GDP per capita. Finally, discuss wider economic system some policy implications.
